As some of you may know, Digital 1380 relocated to Ft. Lauderdale, FL. It may seem as a surprise but this is something that’s been in the works for some time now. I love Milwaukee always will and it will forever be my HOME! I miss my family and friends there, the Brewers games, street festivals and everything else Brew City has to offer. But, being apart of the Website Design and Digital Marketing space in a smaller city like Milwaukee was becoming tiresome. I found myself racing to the bottom of the barrel to acquire new clients. Lowering my fees and hourly rate just to get new business.

Milwaukee is a hard place to live on it’s own. Owning and operating a business there is even harder. I took a look at my clients a few years ago and realized that only about one third of them were in Wisconsin. I thought to myself why stay here when I can build my business from anywhere in the world. So, I started to look at places to live. Atlanta & New York (Brooklyn Specifically) came to mind, Chicago, Nashville, San Diego, Seattle, and a few others all would have been great places to set up my design shop.

One thing I had to keep in mind was that I wasn’t only moving my business out of state but my family would be coming with me as well. It was important to me for them to be apart of the decision as to where we would end up. Two years ago my wife and I decided to drive to see my cousin and Aunt whom live in Fort Lauderdale. I had already been down to check my cousin out and fell in love with the city. It reminded me of what Milwaukee will be in the next couple of years. The Art Community here is amazing I love it. It meshes so well the natural landscape. Who doesn’t love art and Palm Trees???? We spent 10 days here and she loved it too. When we returned home after our getaway we started to plan and prepare for the move. Two years later we’re here and loving every minute of it.
